This series was developed to address the need to present the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ in the urgent, yet loving manner it deserves to be presented. The study has two principal studies: The Gospel Beginner's edition for those who don't have any religious experience (the unchurched) and the Gospel advanced edition for those of religious background (churched people). You can use the Spiritual Awareness Survey as an introduction to Series 1, The Gospel, when evangelizing. The survey exposes the need for self examination using the Scriptures in light of the Gospel of salvation and the coming judgment with the appearing of our Lord Jesus. You can make your own handbook by downloading each of the parts of this series and keeping them handy for your own evangelistic work.

The purpose of these studies is to bring men and women to the truth of God's Word. In the midst of religious confusion, where the gospel of lies and compromise is prevalent; the truth regarding salvation, worship and discipleship remains intact and untainted within the pages of God's Word, the Bible. For Christ Himself said: "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words will never pass away" (Matthew 24:35).
These studies are designed to bring the gospel of Christ in the Spirit of Christ, in a step-by-step manner. The class is designed to allow men and women to be their own students of the Bible, thus allowing the Word of God speak for itself.
When studying First Steps with people, do not rush through the verses! This will prove ineffective! Make sure that each point is clearly understood. Use examples that will help drive the point home. Never take short-cuts! Every passage is important! Do not cut corners in order to speed the process! Teach effectively, not hastily. Also, ask a lot of questions! Make sure the student comprehends what is being taught. Although the verses used in these studies are quite clear, it is always a good to ask questions to see if the student is comprehending what is being taught. This will also promote unity and oneness of mind.
Always review what was taught in the last study before moving on to the next study. It is essential for the student to remember what was taught in the prior study, since each study is a continuation of the former one.
Give the student the corresponding homework so that they can continue learning on their own during the week. This will be an excellent "quiet time" assignment for them. Encourage them to be faithful to the assignments! Keep in mind, you are also making them students (or disciples) of the Word. This is part of making disciples (Matthew 28:19)! Review all home assignments with them. Ask them what they learned and if they had any difficulty.
Go over every passage in the study--in detail--before starting the next study. Remember, every study is important for the growth and knowledge of the student!
Never bypass or compromise Scripture. Allow the Scriptures to speak for themselves. We are merely messengers of the Truth, teaching God's way! If a student has a problem with a Scripture, recognize that it is the Spirit who is convicting the person (John 16:8)! Remember, the Word of God is alive and active and it convicts!
And finally, teach with love, patience and gentleness. Don't be arrogant! Let the love of Christ shine forth continually--even in your teaching!
To interest people in studying the Bible and getting to know the saving Gospel of Jesus you can try using this survey.

Spend some time going over the story of Naaman. Students, especially religious ones, should be made aware of the importance of obeying God's word, and not our own preconceived thoughts and feelings! Talk about Naaman's preconceived thoughts regarding how God was going to heal him. Also discuss Naaman's attitude towards God's way and his attitude after he obeyed the word of God! Discuss how humility brings about obedience to God's word, which is able to save us (James 1:21)! Naaman learned humility from his servants; and when he obeyed God, he was healed of his leprosy!
Second study: Go over "The Love Of God" lesson with the student. Leave the "Immanuel" (homework #2) with them.

Third study: Go over "Discipleship" with the student. Leave the "Kingdom Parables" (homework #3) with them.
Fourth study: Go over "The Coming of The Kingdom" with the student. Leave "Repentance" (homework #4) with them.
Fifth study: Go over "Forgiveness of Sins" with the student. Leave "The Gift of the Holy Spirit" (homework #5) with them.
Lord willing, the student's heart will be opened to the gospel of peace and become a member of God's family! If they get baptized, give them the "Gift of the Holy Spirit" to go over at home. And most of all, continue to teach them in word and deed, fellowshipping, praying, and evangelizing with your new brother or sister in Christ! Teach them to observe the ways of Christ (Matthew 28:19-20)!
After you are done with the FIRST STEPS, you can begin reviewing the basic building blocks of the new disciple's relationship with God using the NEXT STEP series, The Philippians 3:1 Principle.
After you go over any doubts or questions the new brother /sister may have in regards to the FIRST STEPS and NEXT STEPS, you can continue your mentoring with the Armor of God Series of studies that focus on growth and maturity in Christ, or In His Footsteps, which focuses on the Basic teachings of Christianity and helps us develop a tight, deep relationship with God and our brothers and sisters.
May God richly bless you as you preach the gospel of repentance and forgiveness of sins! And now, Go, and make disciples, says the Lord!
How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" The Apostle Paul, Romans 10:14-15
