Campus Ministry Survey

Hello! I'm with the campus ministry and we are doing a survey on the general understanding of the gospel message and how you can become a participant of the promises found in the New Testament.

1- Would you like to participate? YES                 NO

NAME: _____________________

2- Do you know what is the Gospel? YES                 NO

"Gospel" comes from the Greek word euaggelion, which means "good news".

Please read the following scripture:

(1 Corinthians 15:1-4 NIV) Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. {2} By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. {3} For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance : that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, {4} that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures…

3- According to this passage, what is the good news? ____________________________

4- If there is good news, what is the bad situation? _______________________________

Please read the following scripture:

(John 3:16 NIV) "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

5- Without this good news, what is our situation? ________________________________

Read the following:

(Luke 13:1-5 NIV) Now there were some present at that time who told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices. {2} Jesus answered, "Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way? {3} I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish. {4} Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them--do you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem? {5} I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish."

6- Do you think those who die before their time somehow deserve it? ________________

7- According to Jesus, what happens if you don't repent? __________________________

8- What does Jesus mean by "unless you repent…"? ______________________________

Please read the following Scripture:

(2 Thessalonians 1:6-10 NIV) God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you {7} and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels. {8} He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. {9} They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power {10} on the day he comes to be glorified in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed. This includes you, because you believed our testimony to you.

9- According to this passage, what does God promise us? (verses 6 and 7) _____________

_____________________________________________________________________

10 - Who are the ones that will lose the opportunity of relief and peace with God forever?

(verse 9) ____________________________________________________________

11- Who will be glorified with Jesus when He returns? (verse 10) ____________________

Let's see how you too can partake of Jesus' promise of eternal life:

  1. You need to believe God sent His only Son, Jesus, to save you from your sins (John 3:16).
  2. If you believe this, that He was crucified, buried and resurrected on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3, 4), then you must repent of your sins (Luke 13:1-5) and seek Him above all else (Matthew 6:33).
  3. (Matthew 6:31-33 NIV) So do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' {32} For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. {33} But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

  4. If you really believe in Jesus you will confess His name (Romans 10:9, 10).
  5. (Romans 10:9-10 NIV) That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. {10} For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

  6. If you are ready to give yourself completely to God then you need to be baptized (immersed in water) for the forgiveness of your sins to receive the Holy Spirit:

(Acts 2:38-39 NIV) Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. {39} The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off--for all whom the Lord our God will call."

Would you like to continue having a Bible study to discuss these things? YES                 NO
