A Beautiful Life

Each day I’ll do (men repeat) a golden deed; (repeat)

By helping those (repeat) who are in need; (repeat)

My life on earth (repeat) is but a span; (repeat)

And so I’ll do (repeat) the best I can! (Alto/Tenor: the best I can)

Bass: Life’s ev’ning sun (repeat)

is sinking low; (repeat)

A few more days (repeat) and I must go! (repeat)

Soprano/Alto: To meet the deeds (men repeat) that I have done; (repeat)

Where there will be (repeat)

All: no setting sun…▲ (Alto/Tenor: no setting sun)

To be a child (men repeat) of God each day; (repeat)

My life must shine (repeat) along the way; (repeat)

I’ll sing His praise (repeat) while ages roll; (repeat)

And strive to help (repeat) some troubled soul! (A/T: some troubled soul)

Bass: Life’s ev’ning sun (repeat)

is sinking low; (repeat)

A few more days (repeat) and I must go! (repeat)

Soprano/Alto: To meet the deeds (men repeat) that I have done; (repeat)

Where there will be (repeat)

All: no setting sun…▲ (Alto/Tenor: no setting sun)

The only life (men repeat) that will endure; (repeat)

Is one that’s kind (repeat) and good and pure; (repeat)

And so for God (repeat) I’ll take my stand; (repeat)

Each day I’ll lend (repeat) a helping hand! (A/T: a helping hand)

Bass: Life’s ev’ning sun (repeat)

is sinking low; (repeat)

A few more days (repeat) and I must go! (repeat)

Soprano/Alto: To meet the deeds (men repeat) that I have done; (repeat)

Where there will be (repeat)

All: no setting sun…▲ (Alto/Tenor: no setting sun)

While going down (men repeat)

life’s weary road; (repeat)

I’ll try to lift (repeat) some trav’ler’s load; (repeat)

I’ll try to turn (repeat) the night to day; (repeat)

Make flowers bloom (repeat) along the way! (A/T: the lonely way)

Bass: Life’s ev’ning sun (repeat)

is sinking low; (repeat)

A few more days (repeat) and I must go! (repeat)

Soprano/Alto: To meet the deeds (men repeat) that I have done; (repeat)

Where there will be (repeat)

All: no setting sun…▲ (Alto/Tenor: no setting sun)
